Abbas Khan better known as Sanjay Khan was born on January 3, 1941. He is an actor, producer and director in the Indian film Industry.

Sanjay (Abbas) Khan was born in Bangalore and is of mixed Pathan and Iranian parentage He is married to Parsi Zarine Khan. Sanjay Khan has two brothers, Feroz Khan and Akbar Khan also work as actors, as does his son, Zayed Khan. He had three daughters and a son. Elder daughter Farha (married to DJ Aqeel), second daughter Simone (married to Ajay Arora) and his youngest daughter Suzanne Khan is married to actor Hrithik Roshan. Sanjay Khan became grandfather on March 28, 2006 of a boy named Hrehaan, Hrithik Roshan's and Suzanne Khan's first child. Sanjay Khan's Daughter-in-Law is Malika Parekh who is married to his son Zayed Khan.

Sanjay Khan acted in several successful films like 'Ek Phool Do Mali', 'Inteqaam', 'Dus Lakh', 'Dillagi', 'Dil Ne Pukara' and many others. However, except for his good looks, Sanjay was unimpressive. B.R Chopra's 'Dhund' came as a windfall for him. A suspense film inspired by 'Rebecca', this film of Sanjay and Zeenat Aman also started their involvement which continued as he became a producer with 'Chandi Sona'.

Sanjay Khan later began making TV serials. His first venture was 'Tipu Sultan'. During its production there was a major fire on its set, which caused the loss of some lives and property. Sanjay himself came close to death, but survived after a long struggle in hospital. He persisted and completed the serial and later, made more serials too.
