Shilpa was born in coastal Karnataka , India in a Bunt family and has a native speaking language of Tulu. Shilpa’s father name is Surendra Shetty and her mother name is Sunanda Shetty. Shilpa’s Parents were having an occupation of modelling in their time. Her Father had been modelled fro ‘Year Glasses’ and her Mother had been modeled for ‘Forhans’, ‘Bournvita’. So after completing her ten standard (grade) Shilpa had taken of her some photos and send them to many add agencies and from there the work has also started coming for her. Shilpa has completed her schooling from ‘St Anthony Girls' High School’ in ‘Chembur’and then completed her graduation from “Podar College”.
Shilpa was also interested in sports such as ‘Baseball’ , ‘Karate’as she was the captain of her college in the sports team of ‘Baseball’. Shilpa is also achieved a black belt in ‘Karate’. At that age Shilpa was just 15 and wanted to become a ramp model but unfortunately her height was only 5'7" and not as skinny and tall as other models. Seeing that she was rejected her ‘Heart was broken’. Shilpa had no background in ‘Acting’ but her luck worked for her and at the age of 17 she was offered a film in a leading role in her first film opposite ‘Rahul Roy’ in the film named as “Gaata Rahe Mera Dil”but under some circumstances the film was not completed and sadly was stalled. In the year 1993, Shilpa made her debut in the murder mystery, of the film ‘‘BAAZIGAR” with the Bollywood King ‘Shah Rukh Khan’ and Ravishing ‘Kajol’. The film was in a great success.
This film earned her ‘Filmfare Nomination’ for “Best New Comer” In the year 1994, She also achieved a great success in the film “MAIN KHILADI TU ANARI” opposite her ex –boyfriend ‘Akshay Kumar’ who completely gave Shilpa a new image in Bollywood. However, succeeding films in which she made many had done less well at the box office. Shilpa was again ‘Heart – broken’ when her one after the another and at one point films flopped. Due to that she thought of quitting from Hindi Cinema as she was already working in a couple films of Telugu and Tamil. Her some more films were flopped name as ‘PARDESI BABU’, ‘JAANWAR’ and ‘LAL BAADSHAH’, but by having a great luck her flopped films have also earned her award for ‘Best supporting Actress’ from’ Zee Gold Bollywood’. But through the circumstances of having much flopp films the industry had thought to written off Shilpa.
But her come back with the special appearance in the song 'Main Aayi Hoon U.P. Bihar Lootne' gave classic reviews. Her Film “SCHOOL” was a hit and her song spread like a ‘Wild Fire’. In the year 2000, Shilpa starred opposite her ex – boyfriend ‘Akshay Kumar’ and her cousin ‘Sunil Shetty’ in the film “Dhadkan” which was director by ‘Dharmesh Darshan’. The film had redefined Shilpa Shetty and all of them finally noticed her for her acting abilities. Shilpa had also earned an IIFA (International Indian Film Award) in which she was nominated in the category of ‘Best Actress’. The film itself became an average at the ‘box – office’. After that her some of the films were hit such as ‘KUSHI’ which was in ‘Tamil’, PREETHSOD THAPPA” which was in ‘Kannada’, “KARZ” which was in ‘Hindi’. In the year 2002, Shilpa had completed five movies, which was also ready for release named as “BADHAAI HO BADHAAI”, “CHOOR MACHAAYE SHOR”, “HATYAAR”, “KARZ” and “Rishtey”.
It was again sadly to say that her all film were flopped and worked worst for her as “KARZ” and “RISHTEY” were also release on the same day. But everything had not gone wrong in the year 2002. In “HATYAAR” Shilpa bagged more praise for role than her co – star ‘Sanjay Dutt’ and in the film “RISHTEY” she was reportedly as the only good thing about the film. Shilpa received two nominations for ‘Best Comedian’ in which the first one was ‘Screen Awards and the other was from ‘Sansui Viewers Choice Movie Award’. ‘Filmfare’ nominated her in the category of ‘Best Actress’. In the year 2003 she received mixed reviews for her role in the film “DARNA MANA HAI” in Hindi and her film with ‘Ravichandran Ondagona Baa in Kannada which was also a hit. In the year 2004 she won critical acclaim with her performance as an AIDS vicitim in the film “PHIR MILENGE” which was directed by ‘Reyathy’.
Shilpa had also done a movie with her close friend ‘Salmaan Khan’ name “GARV”in which she had only songs. The Giant International Award was awarded to Shilpa Shetty for fabulous performance in the film ‘Phir Milenge’. She had also received Indo-Pak's Young Achiever award. Shilpa was nominated in the category of 'Best Actress' at every award ceremony, including Filmfare, IIFA, and Screen Awards and some more … But in a film industry where the 'popular' people rules, Shilpa was ignored by every single award ceremonies. In the year 2005,She was awarded from AAHOA for her role in Phir Milenge. Shilpa appeared in the movie of director Deepak Tijori's ‘Khamosh’ where she played a role of a call girl. In the year 2005 the film “DUS” was a popular success for Shilpa. She was also a part of ‘Mani Ratnam’s stage show, ‘Netru, Indru and Naalai. She appeared with her sister in the film, “FAREB”.

Bollywood Profile of Akshaye khanna

5' 11" tall, Akshaye Khanna was born on March 30, 1975 to the most popular bollywood actor of that time, Vinod Khanna and Geetanjali. He inherits his fabulous looks and acting skills from his father Vinod Khanna. Like most star sons, Askhaye Khanna too was launched by his father Vinod Khanna. And as often happens, the home production 'Himalayputra' was rejected by the audience despite a high-powered publicity campaign. But the star sons have an advantage. They have an identity, contacts and producers willing to give a second (and third) chance. Besides, following papa's policy of playing safe, Akshaye had already signed up for several films.
J.P.Dutta's blockbuster 'Border' wiped out the taste of failures like 'Mohabbat' , where he simply did not suit Madhuri Dixit, once his own father's leading lady.
Rajkumar Santoshi's 'Doli Saja Ke Rakhna', in which he was paired with Naghma's sister Jyotika and 'Kudrat' both flopped. Rishi Kapoor's 'Aa Ab Laut Chalen' somewhat undid the damage, and has again placed him among the winning horses. Akshaye reminds you of his father Vinod Khanna at his zenith, when he quit films and took sanayas.
Seeing that the sons of boozers turn out to be teetotallers, Akshaye is the least likely candidate to find escape in sanyas. His recent releases, 'Laawaris' ( with Jackie, Dimple and Manisha) and 'Dehak' ( with Sonali Bendre) too have not done well. 'Love You Hamesha', 'Agar Tum Na Hote' and 'Deewana Tere Naam Ka' besides several proposals on the table are his under production films. Vinod Khanna's son is more busy than papa was at the same stage. But unlike his father, who saw the tide turning in his favour within months of his debut, Akshaye is still trying to find his feet. Worse, his thinning pate is worrying his producers.
Every journalist in town clamoured to interview the young Khanna who sported a charming smile and cute dimples that turned girls dizzy. But while the world was eager to read about him, Akshay wasn't in any mood to face frivolous questions about the films he'd signed, or his relationship with his father and brother Rahul, or then his views on life in general.
He rejected a couple of seemingly important films including Deepa Mehta's '1947-Earth' (1999). The part eventually went to elder brother Rahul Khanna.
Finally, there came a ray of hope in the form of Rishi Kapoor's 'Aa Ab Laut Chalein' (1999). The film proved to be a modest success and everyone praised Akshaye yet again, although it was Aishwarya Rai who hogged the show for most part.
But even Subhash Ghai's 'Taal' (1999), Akshaye's most prestigious assignment since 'Border', couldn't revive his floundering career. Instead, the film's second hero, Anil Kapoor, repositioned himself as a character actor and wowed audiences with his new image. Taal was a hit and the guy is coming back in a interesting film where he plays an artiste in love with a much older woman.
He used to date Riya Sen.
In 1998, Khanna won the Filmfare Best Debut Award for his role in Border. In 2002, Khanna won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor, for his role in Dil Chahta Hai.

Bollywood Profile of Sunil Shetty

An actor who needs to piggyback on his director for his performance, Sunil Shetty could have done better in business boardrooms, but anyway, made his tinsel town foray with the completely inconsequential films like Balwan, Gaddar or Prithvi.

His beefcake physique and square jawed face made him a director's ideal choice for an action hero, but his expressionless face gave away the ham actor in him. Yet nothing teaches better than experience.

So after a long barren spell at the box office when around 21 out of his 28 films flopped miserably, Shetty finally salvaged his dwindling career with films like Mohra and Border. Then the resounding success of Priyadarshan's Hera Pheri gave his career a new lease of life while Refugee and Jungle has got him on cloud nine.

One of the promising stars to have hit the silver screen in the last decade Sunil Shetty stays clear of petty politics of the tinsel world and maintains a low profile. For this reason perhaps he has the choicest projects in his kitty despite his innumerable debacles at the box office.

Sunil Shetty is quite well known in Restaurant Business in Mumbai.

Sunil Shetty Hit Films are: Balwan, Anth, Mohra, [Dilwale]], Gopi Kishan, Border, Bhai, Hera pheri, Dhadkan, Jungle, Awara Pagal Deewana, Kaante, Qayamat, Hulchal, Main Hoon na, Dus, Phir Hera Pheri. Bollywood Profile of Nana Patekar

Nana Patekar real name Vishwanath Patekar, Nana Patekar was born 1 January 1951 in Maharashtra. He is an Indian actor and filmmaker.

Like most actors, Nana began his career with Marathi theatre. N. Chandra was so impressed with his intensity in the play 'Purush' that he signed him for 'Ankush', a low- budget movie with unknown faces. The film, however did not help boost Nana's career in any way.

It was with Vinod Chopra's 'Parinda', which earned him the National award, that Nana became a force to reckon with. And with his subsequent films like 'Prahaar', which he directed himself, 'Tiranga', 'Krantiveer' and 'Agni Sakshi', he established himself as one the most talented actors.

Nana is known to be brusque and arrogant. It is rumored that producers are wary of signing him for their films because of his reputation of being arrogant, hot-headed and a difficult star to work with. "I am more important to myself," Nana says. "If I'm not happy about something I will not do it. And I am very honest and frank and most of the people in the industry cannot digest that fact. Besides, it is me who has been refusing films. And that is because I sign a film only if I like the script."

Unlike many, Nana detests the idea of doing more than two to three films at a time. "It amazes me how people can switch on and off within seconds. I have to be involved with a film. Anyway, what am I going to get after doing so many films? Money? I don't give much importance to money anyway."

This seems a little contradictory since Nana is said to have hiked his fee after every film. "But I still maintain that money is not important to me at all. But tell me why shouldn't I hike my price. Today, people are approaching me because I am successful. If the producers are selling a film on my name, shouldn't I get my share from them?" he reasons. "But when I demand my price, I also indulge in a lot of social and charity work with the money."

Which is a fact no one can deny. On one of his visits to his village, he had seen an ancient, dilapidated ruin, which he learnt was the burial place of Eshwari bai, who played a very important historical role in the Peshwa period. Nana immediately called for a meeting in the village and drew out a plan and an estimate of how much money would be required to restore the monument. He did Shows and the money that was raked in, was directed there. On another occasion, there was a certain hotel group that needed Nana to inaugurate a hotel. Nana demanded a lakh of rupees. Initially they refused and went away. Later they agreed and the cheque that was given to Nana was handed over to an institution for the handicapped on the spot.

Patekar has also done some playback singing in the films Yeshwant (1997), Wajood (1998) and Aanch (2003).

He is the only actor ever to win Filmfare Awards in the Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best Villain categories.

While studying she know exactly that she wanted to be in films in terms of career. She know if started acting before accomplishing her academy, then it wouldn't be possible for her to go back to studying. Her parents had the typical normal parental concerns about joining the films.
